Pastor Larry Ruiz Sr.

Larry and Alicia were both born and raised in Los Angeles, CA.  Larry received Christ at the age of 14 (1973); he was not raised in a Christian home. Alicia also received Christ as a teenager.  They met in a small church in the city of Los Angeles and were wed in 1978.  The Ruiz’s came to Pueblo in 1982.  They have three children Larry Jr, Aaron, and Alicia Christine.

Larry worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier until 1988 when he was called into the ministry.  He then became a youth pastor and served a small independent church until God closed that door and led him to plant Agape Fellowship under the banner of The Church of God, Cleveland, TN.  Larry’s interests, besides ministry, are fishing, hunting, skiing, snow boarding, snow shoeing, hiking, kayaking, playing softball, watching baseball and football, taking walks, riding bicycles, and watching sunsets.  His most special joy is spending time with the love of his life, Alicia, and getting her to enjoy all these activities with him.  The greatest joy to both of them is their six precious grandchildren, Aiden, Avery, Lalani Lii, and Larry III (Tre), Judah and Esme. Larry lives each day to the glory of God and hopes his life simply reflects the love of Jesus to everyone he meets!
